Skurio addresses demand for outsourced cybersecurity services with expanded partner programme

Belfast, 20th October 2020
Skurio, the UK Digital Risk Protection company, reports strong customer traction as a result of a major expansion of its channel partner programme. The news follows the release of Skurio’s recent study that highlights an increase in organisations looking for help with cybersecurity from the MSP and MSSP communities. The Belfast cybersecurity specialist has been developing their channel partner programme significantly over the last twelve months in UK and Benelux. Initiatives have focused on channel-specific product development, as well as sales and technical support.
Strategic leadership
To strengthen this programme Skurio is also announcing that MSP heavyweight Adrian Thirkill will join the business as Chairman. Thirkill’s experience, gained from senior roles in Phoenix IT, COLT and Easynet as well as his most recent post as CEO of leading ICT Service Provider GCI, covers international and domestic expansion as well as leading significant technology adoption programmes. His understanding of the service provider community and international experience will be a major asset to the company’s plans for expansion. “As someone who has spent many years in the service provider industry, I know first-hand how important customer trust is. Whilst data breaches can never be entirely eliminated, businesses are measured by the steps they take to reduce risk,” said Thirkill, “Skurio is helping a growing community of service providers to adopt Digital Risk Protection technology for themselves and to use it with their customers – enabling them to innovate with confidence and build their trust further”.
He is joined by channel specialist, Sophia Anastasi, who will manage the channel partner programme moving forwards. Anastasi brings over a decade of experience in cybersecurity working with software vendors, service providers and distributors, including AlienVault, AT&T Cybersecurity and CMS Distribution.
Channel technology leadership
Skurio’s aim, to help all businesses reduce digital risk with affordable, easy to use cybersecurity solutions, addresses a neglected market sector. “There are plenty of vendors providing expensive threat intelligence capabilities which require specialist skills to deploy and maintain. These are fine for large enterprises with expert teams and deep pockets, but beyond the reach of the average IT or InfoSec leader,” says Skurio CEO Jeremy Hendy. “We want to help these forgotten businesses, which are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals. And there’s no better way to do that than by working with their trusted partners,” he added.
Skurio continues to release market-leading product features designed to support its partner community, including an extensive API and connector suite. The company has also built a custom partner portal to educate and enable partners. Packaged ‘partner-exclusive’ products, including a low-cost domain monitoring service, provide a compelling channel offer.
Market traction
The Skurio channel programme is already showing significant results, with many new partners including the recently announced IT services company, IT Naturally. The company has also published a new case study with transformation and security specialist 6point6, who are using Skurio features to deliver new, innovative cybersecurity services for their customers. Through partner growth, Skurio now has customers in 33 countries.
